Who do we work for? Renovators, cabinetmakers, builders and owner builders - anyone who needs quality design and drawings.
Building Plans and Measurements? We can work with your existing building plans - or measure up your space so that we can design and prepare accurate drawings.
We already have another draftsman / builder drawing up our plans - Can you still design the cabinetry? Absolutely - but when possible it's best to do the cabinetry designs before finalising your drawings. You may decide to tweak a few things to suit before you start building.
Can you coordinate my renovation? Yes - By being involved from the very beginning, we are able to engage and direct the right contractors to meet your budget and see your project through to the end. We have great cabinetmakers, builders and other trades that we use on many projects - or use your own. We ensure your renovation runs smoothly.
What information do I need to give you to get started? Before we can start your designs we need to know what appliances and other items you'd like. Do you want a 600mm wall oven - or perhaps a 900mm underbench oven? What size dishwasher do you need? Do you want an integrated fridge? There are a lot of things to consider and we want to make sure that nothing is missed - so we cover everything in your initial consultation.
What sort of drawings do you supply? We create your designs in realistic 3D - but you can just have CAD drawings if you prefer - or vice versa. CAD (Computer Aided Drawings) - Including floorplans, elevations and sections for everything from a simple bathroom through to an entire house. Our CAD cabinetry drawings include dimensions and specifications for materials, hardware and appliances.
Do you have material samples? We carry samples from most of the major suppliers of cabinetry and benchtop finishes. Before we start your design we guide you on the best suppliers and display centres to go for inspiration - it's well worth it to take the time to go out and touch and feel some of the wonderful products available in the market today. Once you've nailed down the look and inclusions we get to work creating it for you.
Colour finish and selections? Are you just too busy or having trouble deciding - maybe you'd just prefer us to do it for you? No problem at all - we love putting colour concepts together - and it's included in the price.
We know what we want - we just need it drawn up. Can we email you our ideas and sketches without a consultant meeting? Yes, of course - we can work from your sketches. We'll give you a call and have a chat and then also send you a quick checklist to make sure you haven't forgotten anything before we email your quote.
Our contractors have some questions or recommendations - Can they call you to discuss? Definitely - It's all included in the price and part of the service. Minor changes required after the designs have been finalised are included at no extra cost.
How much does it cost? After a chat on the phone we will email through a detailed cost estimate and list of services included. Payment is 20% to commence, 40% after viewing of the 3D designs and 40% on completion of the CAD drawings. Once you’ve paid the second instalment we can email the 3D designs so you can take your time to review them again prior to giving the go-ahead to finalise the CAD drawings.
How do you supply the drawings to me? Drawings and documentation are supplied to you as a PDF that you can forward to your builder or contractors for quoting. All drawings are on a title block and include your contact details, property address and schedule of finishes, hardware and appliances. We also recommend that you print out and keep a copy handy in a plastic sleeve folder for quick reference on site.
How soon can I have my designs and drawings? Depending on the amount of work involved - your 3D designs should be ready within a week. We return to meet with you again, review the designs on our laptop, run through the design concept, material selections and discuss any changes you'd like. Once the 3D designs are finalised we then get to work on the CAD drawings. If it's say, a kitchen and a laundry - you should have your complete set of 3D and CAD drawings within 1-2 weeks.
Need drawings in a hurry? No problem - we're used to working fast. Don't be afraid to ask - we love a challenge.
